Selling my oldies...

Why is it so hard to sell second hand clothings in Taiwan? Cleaned out my closet last weekend and I found some pants that don't fit anymore now!!! Rage.

Work Wear

Time flies, I have been back to Taiwan for over 1 year. After a full year of observation, I noticed that plenty of people, especially "engineers", do not have the sense of wearing proper outfits to work. However, men and women are lacking different types of "sense" in my opinion.

You are what you wear. It's an attitude.

Here, I am going to take where I work now for example.

Let's start with men first. They are simple. They just don't care what they wear in general. T-shirts can be seen on approximately 98% of the younger generation in my company. For those who have been working for couple years, and of course a little elder, usually wear shirts or polos. You got it. Something with collars!!!

I have to say, weather in Taiwan is really humid and hot in the summer and I don't blame them wanting to wear shorts against the heat. Guys, materials and styles matter. And girls, the length and hems matter, too!!

Sweatpants? Jersey shorts? Cargo shorts? Oxford shorts? Short shorts? Destroyed shorts? Unhemmed shorts? 3", 4", 5" shorts? Silk? Tweed? Gosh...

They all channel different attitude.

Girls, wearing a tunic sweater that covers your short shorts which make people wonder whether you are wearing pants is cute when you are going on a date with your boyfriend.

Wearing a pair of bleached skinny jeans to a formal seminar where everyone is dressing in at least business casual is not okay.

Sales. I know you don't like wearing suits and ties all day long, but you have to. Since it is inevitable, would you please do me a favor to find something that fit you better. Ties are sometimes too short. Jackets are too long. Pants are ill-fitting. Colors/patterns don't match!!! Navy and dark grey don't like each other even though they are both pinstripe!

Okay. Enough whining.

[Quick share] Oversize Sweater x Hermes H Necklace

Finally got myself a Hermes necklace. I saw this black and silver beauty at the Hermes store in TPE airport last week waving at me as if asking me to bring it home. So I did! Look well it works with my new oversize sweater!!

Got this sweater from Alibaba (1688.c0m) last week for only $200 NTD (about $6.76 USD) including shipping. Thus, I bought three of them, black, white and rusty red. Love the oversize and loose fit (I did tuck the front in a bit to show my shorts) and the bat wing sleeves.
